About this role
The Ladies' College, Guernsey are seeking a Deputy Principal (Teaching and Learning) to lead the academic side of the College. They will work with the Head of Senior School to enact the College's ambitious and exciting strategic plans.
Leading and ensuring a cohesive, innovative and energised culture of teaching and learning
Leading and ensuring a culture of curiosity and constant improvement in teachers supported by effective CPD
Providing strategic oversight and leadership of the curriculum design and development across the Senior School, ensuring alignment with the College’s vision, values and strategic priorities
Ensuring excellent delivery and outcomes in terms of student progress
Ensuring effective academic deployment and management of our A Level provision with Elizabeth College
Ensuring that academic systems (including timetable, exams, reporting) are run efficiently and effectively with excellent coordination and communication
Overseeing and ensuring an embedded culture of quality assurance and reflection
Working with HR on all teaching staff matters including ensuring recruitment, retention, cover and deployment is effective and appropriate
Attend and lead all academic events (e.g. curriculum, option and parent evenings)
All other responsibilities as part of the Senior Leadership team and at the request of the Head of Senior School or the Principal.
Please note that this is a 33% teaching role.
