Position: Deputy Head Curriculum & SENCo
Location: Church Fenton, North Yorkshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time
Salary Details: Up to £45,400 per annum DOE
The Deputy Headteacher will provide the leadership required to achieve strong and exceptional outcomes in terms of the quality of learning and teaching across the school, the curriculum content, and meeting student needs to overcome individual barriers and support the development of a love and enjoyment of learning.
Who we are:
Cambian Fenton Grange School, an independent DfE-registered school. We provide high quality specialist education for up to 20 students, who have experienced trauma. The pupils in our school exhibit a range of challenging behaviours and associated learning and communication difficulties.

Staff development including all staff, ECTs, unqualified teachers, instructors and SCITT Trainees.
Literacy and numeracy.

Exams.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and experience in the leadership role.
Higher degree or evidence of further professional qualification such as NPQ.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Clean and current car driving license.
SEND specific qualification such as NPQ SENCo.
Experience:
Understanding of SEND Code of Practice.
Successful experience of working as a SENCo.
Experience of multiagency work.
Ability to manage a budget.
Successful experience in taking a lead role in curriculum development for students with additional learning needs.
Experience of developing high-quality leadership in curriculum areas through effective line management of middle and senior leaders.
Thorough understanding of the Educational Inspection Framework and National Curriculum.
Evidence of monitoring whole school targets and outcomes.
Understanding of the need to ensure a high level of presence around school and promote staff morale/wellbeing and ownership of the school’s vision, values and poli
