Position: Deputy Headteacher
Location: Bassaleg, Newport
Hours: Full time, Term time
Salary Details: Up to £42,000 per annum DOE
We are looking for an enthusiastic, determined and committed Deputy Head to join our team at Greenfields school. The ideal candidate will form part of the Senior Management Team of the school in the planning and implementation of policies, practice and working procedures.

Greenfields School is a specialist independent school catering for up to 30 pupils aged 9 to 18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Located in Newport, South Wales the school provides a therapeutic and nurturing environment tailored to learners who have often faced interrupted education or exclusions from mainstream settings.
Requirements:
QTS/Other additional teacher qualifications.
Senior Leadership experience at Assistant Head level or above.
Core Purpose of the Deputy Headteacher Post:
To play a major role under the direction of the Head Teacher in formulating the aims and objectives of the school, establishing policies, practices and structures; managing staff and resources to achieve the vision, aims and objectives of the school and monitoring progress towards each of these objectives.
Responsibility for leading the successful and continual delivery and development of the school’s educational services, monitoring its performance in line with Estyn expectations and current best practices set out by Welsh Government guidance & legislation.
To be the senior leader with responsibility for the Quality of Education, Teaching & Learning and Curriculum development.
To create effective positive and proactive working relationships amongst staff groups, within Education, Students, Parents/Carers, External Stakeholders, and Professional practitioners.
