About this role

Salary: Leadership Points L18 to L22 (£78,702 to £86,803 per annum) Contract: Permanent, full time As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, the Deputy Head Teacher for Behaviour and Culture will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the academy. You will lead excellence in behaviour, culture and attitudes, fostering a positive, safe and aspirational culture in which every student feels valued, supported and able to thrive. In addition, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to wider system improvement by working alongside the Head Teacher to support other schools through the RISE Behaviour and Attendance Hub, sharing expertise and driving impact beyond our own community. This post is ideally suited to an experienced Assistant Head Teacher ready to step into Deputy Headship within a school recognised as Outstanding for leadership or an established Deputy Head Teacher seeking to further develop their strategic leadership skills, contribute to trust-wide improvement priorities, and gain meaningful system-level experience in preparation for future headship. The successful candidate will: Work in close partnership with the Head Teacher to lead whole-school improvement priorities and contribute to the academy’s strategic direction and leadership capacity. Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for behaviour, safeguarding, admissions and inclusion, ensuring a consistent, equitable and values-driven approach across the school. Lead with high visibility, modelling the school’s values and expectations through daily interactions, routines and presence, reinforcing a calm, purposeful and respectful learning environment. Design, implement and evaluate whole-school behaviour and culture strategies that secure high levels of engagement, positive conduct and strong student attitudes to learning.
