About this role
We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Part-Time Dance and Perrforming Arts Teacher (50 – 70%) to join our highly committed Performing Arts Team From September 2026. The role is based primarily at our Junior school with extra-curricular activities for our Senior and Sixth Form Team.
The purpose of the role is to passionately and enthusiastically teach and coach a variety of different dance styles, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Street Jazz and Acro. The role will be responsible for the Choreograph for the Junior School Productions and offer extra-curricular dance activities throughout the school.
To be successful in this role, you must:
Be experienced in dance training/coaching and choreographic work
Have strong foundations in Dance, ideally with a relevant dance teaching qualification(s), e.g., ISTD or RAD
Have knowledge and experience of all styles within the musical theatre genre
Have Knowledge and experience of other dance styles, including contemporary, hip hop, salsa, street and non-Western dance forms.
Have the ability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships with colleagues and to work as part of a team.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and high levels of emotional intelligence.
Have a positive, proactive and professional attitude.
Have a strong commitment to training the next generation of creative performers.
Have a willingness to adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to day-to-day workload.
