Newham College London, now merged with NewVIc Sixth Form College, is the largest post-16 education provider in Newham. The Role:
We are seeking an ambitious Curriculum Manager – Health & Social Care to lead and develop our provision for 16–19 learners, including Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care and T Level Health programmes.
Working closely with the Head of Faculty, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring exceptional teaching, learning and assessment, outstanding learner outcomes, and a curriculum that responds to employer needs and regional skills priorities.
Key responsibilities
Lead and inspire a team of teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
Drive improvements in learner achievement, attendance, retention and progression.
Develop an innovative curriculum aligned with employer and industry needs.
Monitor quality through lesson observations, learning walks and performance analysis.
Support staff development through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
Teach up to 7–12 hours per week, modelling outstanding classroom practice.
Ensure effective safeguarding, learner support and inclusive educational provision.
Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
A degree in a relevant subject.
A recognised teaching qualification.
Successful teaching and curriculum leadership experience within Further Education or post-16 education.
