About this role
Chapel Bridge School is a special school for pupils aged 6 – 19, based in beautifully refurbished campus in the centre of Plymouth. Our school is set within an extensive and well resourced campus with further developments planned as we continue to grow.
Our creative, individualised approach to learning, is centred around well-being and skills for independence. From the time our students arrive, we start thinking about where students will be moving to after they leave us to ensure they are well prepared to achieve their goals and succeed.
We are recruiting for an additional Curriculum Coordinator to join our school community as we continue to grow.
Our Curriculum Coordinators work with our Senior Leadership Teams to determine and quality assure the strategic development of all aspects of curriculum delivery, including the development and quality assurance of the initial assessment and baselining of potential students. They will also develop and quality assure individualised programmes of delivery for new students.
Our CC's play a key role in the implementation of our Enterprise Learning curriculum and supporting our Teachers, applicants must be experienced teachers who are passionate about alternative curriculum. They also lead the team around their students and provide operational support and oversight throughout the student journey, including the review process.
We understand the importance of building meaningful relationships with pupils and families to nurture growth and development of relational milestones such as, building trust and sharing enjoyment. Care and making connections are at the heart of our ethos and we work hard to ensure that all staff feel cared for too.
We are strongly committed to providing high quality professional development for all our staff. As part of a new and growing group, we will be able to offer significant opportunities to work in collaboration with colleagues in order to develop innovative teaching practice.
