Creative Student Placement

Are you a creative arts student wondering what's next? Before you decide, gain a year of real teaching experience, develop your practice, and discover whether education could be part of your future. Based at our Leonardo Centre, you'll work alongside experienced teachers and technicians, teaching up to 16 hours per week, running your own specialist workshops, and supporting pupils across a range of creative disciplines including Design, Fine Art, Photography, and Fashion/Textiles. This is a hands-on placement that goes beyond the studio: you'll be an active member of our boarding school community, taking on pastoral responsibilities and contributing to the broader life of the school. With accommodation and meals included, a CPD budget to invest in your own development, and the mentorship of seasoned creative educators, this is a rare opportunity to test, grow, and find your direction. About you We're looking for enthusiastic creative art students who are passionate about their creative discipline and eager to share that passion with young people on a one-year placement programme. You'll be a natural collaborator, comfortable working as part of a team while also confident enough to lead your own workshops. Whether you specialise in Product or Industrial Design, Fine Art, Photography, or bring skills across several of these areas, we'd love to hear from you. Above all, you'll be someone who thrives in a busy, community-focused environment and understands the responsibility that comes with working with young people.
