Working Hours: 8.15am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: Support Staff Scale C, £26,017 to £27,110 FTE per annum
Actual Salary:£18,846.78 to £19,638.55 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Part Time

The Romsey School is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Creative Design Technician to join our successful Creative and Technical Faculty.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and practical individual who enjoys working with a wide range of materials, tools and technologies. You will play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across our 3D Design provision, helping to create an inspiring environment where students can develop their creativity, technical skills and confidence.
Working closely with teachers and pupils, you will prepare materials and equipment, maintain resources, support practical lessons and help ensure that our creative spaces remain safe, organised and engaging places to learn.
About the Role
As Creative Design Technician, you will:
Prepare and set up materials, tools and equipment for lessons.
Support teachers and students during practical activities.
Maintain specialist equipment and ensure resources are stored safely and efficiently.
Organise stock, undertake inventories and support ordering processes.
Assist with the development of teaching resources and displays.
Support educational visits, department events and whole-school activities.
Help maintain high standards of health and safety across teaching areas.
Work collaboratively with staff across the Creative and Technical Faculty to enhance students' learning experiences.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an individual who has:
Essential
Practical knowledge of creative and 3D design disciplines, such as:
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
An understanding of health and safety requirements within practical learning environments.
Desirable
Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting.
Experience in a technical support role.
Good IT skills and familiarity with educational technologies and resources.
