Cover supervisor

Required for September 2026 Cover Supervisor x 2 Band E (£19,397 - £20,350 actual) 30 hours per week, Term time plus 5 days 1-year fixed term contract Pensby High School is an 11-16 years co-educational secondary school and we are currently looking to appoint a reliable, experienced, articulate, committed and highly motivated cover supervisor to provide cover within classrooms for teaching staff. In addition, all staff have access to Benenden Health care, family friendly working policy and opportunities for personal development to support individuals in their role and career. Duties will include covering set lessons, making sure the work set is covered, and maintaining a strong work ethic within the classroom, along with adhering to the school’s policies. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate strong classroom management skills and have a professional and flexible approach. Working as a Cover Supervisor can be extremely rewarding but also very demanding. Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be prepared for travel all around our large site in order to reach lessons that need to be covered. During times when no cover is required it will be expected that you contribute towards the work of the administration team or the Student Support Centre.
