An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cover Supervisor at Horton Grange Primary School.

This is a vital role within our school, ensuring high-quality learning, strong classroom management, and the continued safety and well-being of our pupils.

The successful candidate will occupy a key role within the school, assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management and preparation of resources and implementing agreed work programmes with individuals or groups, in our out of the classroom.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across the year groups they are covering
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to class teachers
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and initiative
  • Support pupils to achieve positive outcomes

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Advanced-level fluency in English
  • A sound understanding of how children develop and learn
  • The ability to manage workload and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
