Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Thistley Hough Academy, Stoke-on-Trent Salary: Grade 6, £28,142 - £33,699 per annum (actual salary, £24,203 - £28,982) Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks (Term Time Only) Closing Date: 8th July 2026 Interview Date: Monday 13th July 2026 About you: Thistley Hough Academy is seeking a passionate and reliable Cover Supervisor to play a key role in supporting student learning and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment. In this vital position, you’ll step in to deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring continuity in students’ education. You’ll guide learners through set work, provide support where needed, and uphold the academy’s high standards of behaviour and engagement. Your presence will help create a calm, respectful, and focused atmosphere where every student can thrive. Our ideal candidate will have: GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). Good knowledge of the curriculum, teaching and assessment. Experience supporting learning in an educational environment.
