Introduction
Do you want a role where you can help young people rediscover that computing can be enjoyable, creative and confidence building? Are you someone who naturally brings technology to life for others — whether through everyday digital skills, gaming, problem solving or helping people feel more at ease with IT?
We’re looking for a Tutor to lead our new “Introduction to Computing” SETPD course at our Aylesbury Enrichment Centre — a nurturing, community rooted site that many still known as the former Healthy Living Centre in Walton Court.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with Microsoft 365 and everyday digital tools, but whose real strength lies in inspiring learners who may have had poor or uninspiring computing experiences at school. You might come from an IT support background, be the “goto tech person” in your workplace, have experience supporting young people through mentoring or youth work, or simply have a passion for making technology feel accessible and relevant.
You’ll create an engaging, hands on course where learners aged 15–25 can build digital confidence through practical activities such as basic computer skills, online safety, office applications, gaming and introductory coding, creative tasks, and realworld digital challenges. Many of our learners have additional needs or have struggled in traditional education; they thrive when learning feels calm, supportive and rooted in success. As our Computing Tutor, you’ll help them experience those “I didn’t think I could do that!” moments that transform selfbelief and open new pathways.
If you want a rewarding career where your enthusiasm, patience and creativity can genuinely change lives, this role offers exactly
