Co-Heads of Residence Hall

Location： YCIS Shanghai Lingang Purpose of Role: The Western and Chinese Co-Heads of Residence Hall are jointly responsible for establishing, leading, and developing a high-quality international boarding experience at YCIS Shanghai Lingang. Working in close partnership with one another and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, the Co-Heads provide complementary and collaborative leadership across all aspects of the boarding programme, bringing together Western and Chinese perspectives to create a truly inclusive and culturally rich residential community. Central to this role is the belief that boarding life is an extension of the classroom, and that the routines, relationships, and experiences of residential life are powerful vehicles for student growth, character development, and wellbeing. The Co-Heads will serve as primary caregivers for YCIS boarding students across upper primary and secondary age groups, ensuring that every student feels safe, valued, and inspired throughout their time in the boarding house. As the boarding provision grows and transitions onto the YCIS Lingang campus, the Co-Heads will assume full leadership responsibility for all boarding staff, playing a pivotal role in shaping the identity, culture, and reputation of a flagship residential programme. During the initial transitional year, the Co-Heads will be based at the YWIES boarding facility, working alongside their team to observe, learn, and plan, while fulfilling regular boarding duties and serving as primary caregivers for YCIS Shanghai Lingang students.
