Cleaner

Cleaner - 1 permanent position and 1 maternity cover position available.

Salary: £12.81 per hour plus benefits including: Local Government Pension, Health Care Cash Plan, Generous Staff Discount scheme, at least one personal leave day per year.

We're looking for a Cleaner to join our team at The Hyndburn Academy, to ensure a clean internal environment of the school premises to support the professional delivery of the school curriculum.

Key responsibilities include:

• To ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the school on a daily basis.
• To use cleaning materials appropriately in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and COSHH regulations and/or as directed by your supervisor, to inform the supervisor when stocks are low.
• All cleaners are required to contribute to major cleaning tasks during main school holidays
• To clean internal windows including door glass and external windows (ground level only) on a planned rotation
• To be aware of their responsibilities for Health & Safety and fire safety, appropriate training will be given for this.
• To take pride in a job well done, committed to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• To be punctual, reliable and trustworthy, maintaining confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information
