Role Purpose
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across Navigators sites, supporting the wellbeing, health, and engagement of students and staff. The Cleaner plays a key role in ensuring the premises are welcoming, well-presented, and compliant with health and safety standards. The role will involve working across multiple sites, requiring flexibility and the ability to manage cleaning duties efficiently while upholding high standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard
Carry out daily and periodic cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
Ensure all sanitation areas are hygienic and fully stocked (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet roll)
Safely use and store cleaning materials and equipment in line with COSHH regulations
Dispose of waste responsibly and in accordance with site procedures
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns promptly
Support deep cleaning during school holidays or as required
Maintain high standards of hygiene to support safeguarding and infection control
Travel between sites to carry out cleaning duties

Experience and qualifications
Essential
Previous cleaning experience, ideally across a number of sites
Familiarity with COSHH regulations
Experience maintaining cleaning records or schedules
Full UK driving lic
