About this role

At Griffin Primary School, we meet every child and family where they are in order to unlock their aspirations and potential. We are a dedicated hub in the centre of a wonderfully diverse and resilient community, providing a calm and purposeful oasis within the city. Our mission is built on the understanding that every child arrives with a unique background and a distinct set of strengths. We take immense pride in supporting a community that shows incredible heart; here, we don’t just teach a curriculum, we teach the child. We provide a steady, nurturing environment where pupils feel seen, heard, and valued, ensuring their natural resilience is matched by our unwavering belief in their potential. Joining our team means becoming an advocate for our families and a pillar of our community. We are a school that refuses to stand still, it is currently a particularly exciting time for Griffin as we develop and renovate our site, provision and offer. We invest heavily in the tools that actually make a difference and developing impactful partnerships: The Berry Street Education Model (BSEM): As a pilot school for BSEM, we are at the forefront of trauma-informed teaching. Our staff are trained to use strategies that increase engagement and support the self-regulation of students with complex needs. Specialist Support with UP Therapists: We don’t expect our teachers to do it alone. By partnering with Unlocking Potential (UP) therapists, we provide high-level therapeutic support and mental health expertise directly within our school, ensuring both students and staff feel supported. HandsOn London: We work in partnership with HandsOn London to provide incredible opportunities in our Forest School. Inclusivity & Evolution: Our staff are experts at adapting their practice to meet the needs of a multifaceted student body. We move away from "one-size-fits-all" teaching in favour of purposeful, culturally responsive pedagogy. Food Bank: We provide 500kg of food every Friday throug
