Choral Scholar (Tenor)

Sherborne School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Tenor Choral Scholar to join our vibrant and supportive music community. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring singer to develop their skills within a tradition of choral excellence. You will sing regularly with both the Abbey Choir and school ensembles, performing a varied repertoire. Strong sight-reading skills are essential due to the fast-paced rehearsal schedule. Alongside performance commitments, you will support the Music School through light administrative duties and assisting with rehearsals and lessons. The role includes services on Sundays and Thursdays, and rehearsals on Monday and Friday evenings. The working week is 40 hours during term time, with some additional commitments during holiday periods. Sherborne has a strong track record of supporting Choral Scholars into leading university scholarships, making this an ideal stepping stone for future study.
