Position Overview
The Chief Learning & Innovation Officer (CLIO) serves as the senior leader responsible for advancing coherence, quality, and innovation in teaching and learning across UNIS Hanoi (EY12). Guided by UN values and the school’s mission to inspire all learners to strive for academic and personal excellence and to empower students to create positive, sustainable impact, the CLIO ensures that this vision is realised through aligned, high-quality learning experiences.
This new role has been created to ensure a coherent, aligned, and future-focused continuum of learning across the school. The CLIO will provide strategic leadership for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning systems across all divisions. In doing so, the role is intended to strengthen coherence and consistency of practice schoolwide, establish clear expectations for teaching and learning, and ensure that innovation and improvement efforts lead to measurable impact on student learning outcomes while advancing the school’s strategic direction.
Working in close partnership with the Learning Leadership Team, the CLIO strengthens alignment between all aspects of the curriculum; leads adult learning that builds teacher and leader capacity; uses data to inform strategic priorities and drive continuous improvement; and cultivates a culture of purposeful, mission-aligned innovation across the school.
