Chemistry teacher

Almunecar International school is situated in a beautiful location between the mountains and the sea in the Costa Tropical between Malaga and Granada in Spain. We are a small international school following the British curriculum but currently have a student population of 60% Spanish and a mixture of mostly English, Northern Europeans and Chinese making up the rest of the school population. We are recruiting for the following teacher: SECONDARY Chemistry / science teacher. This is a full time post . We seek an experienced, flexible and well-qualified professional who combines creative energy with the highest teaching standards. Above all we seek a real commitment to academic excellence. We require a B.Ed. or PGCE (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience (including A Level) and qualified teacher status (QTS). We are looking for someone who can teach Science in Key Stage 3 , IGCSE and IA Level Chemistry. Please indicate in your letter of application any additional subject/s you are able to offer. These could be any subject such as Mathematics. Profile: The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the importance of observing and assessing student's development in order to inform future planning. working knowledge of the English programs of study and will be able to create a welcoming and stimulating classroom environment. Knowledge and experience of teaching GCSE and A Level courses is important, as is a good knowledge of the British curriculum.
