Are you an experienced culinary leader looking to make a meaningful impact on young people's lives? Achievement through Collaboration Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Catering Manager to operationally lead and manage our school's high-volume catering service and lunchtime welfare operations.
In this pivotal role, you will bridge culinary execution with student pastoral care. Working closely with the Trust-Wide Catering Manager, you will implement centralised standards and menus, drive local operational efficiency through rigorous kitchen management, and oversee the administration of the school’s cashless catering system. Crucially, you will also line manage a team to maintain a safe, positive, and orderly environment during student social times.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations & Compliance: Successfully implement trust-wide cycle menus locally, ensuring compliance with School Food Standards, managing allergens (Natasha's Law), and maintaining robust HACCP and COSHH systems to protect our 5-star food hygiene rating.
Procurement & Stock Control: Manage daily/weekly food and beverage ordering using trust-approved procurement frameworks. Oversee secure deliveries, implement FIFO stock rotation, and conduct physical monthly stock takes.
Financial Administration: Act as the local super-user for the cashless catering system, analysing sales trends, monitoring Free School Meal (FSM) uptake, managing budget responsibilities, and coordinating pricing changes with trust leadership.
Welfare & Student Management: Line manage and strategically deploy welfare staff. Ensure lunchtime periods are safe, inclusive, and positive, collaborating with
