Caretaker

Deal Parochial CE Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual who uses their initiative to join our team.

The salary will be full time on KS4, salary £26,956 all year round (52 weeks).

Hours are: 37 hours per week. split shift of Monday to Thursday 7.00am-11.00am, 2.00pm-6.00pm, Friday 7.00am-10.30am, 2.00pm-6.00pm

You will be responsible for safety, security, facilities and liaising with contractors as well as the general maintenance needs of the school and grounds, duties include:-

• Unlocking/locking the school. To act as key holder, which also includes responding to 'call out' when the alarm sounds out of hours
• Maintaining all areas of our school site both internally and externally including redecoration, small repairs
• Liaising with Central Services Team
• Liaising with contractors
• Arranging for annual inspections e.g. gas, asbestos
• Ensuring the outside areas are kept tidy
• Daily cleaning as part of cleaning team of designated areas of the school building and grounds.
• Maintaining stocks of consumables e.g. toilet rolls, paper towels, Replacing consumables e.g. lightbulbs and batteries
• Working flexibly to support school events e.g. parents evenings, PTFA events. Attend training courses as required
