Place Partnership Trust is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and strategic Careers Hub Lead (West) to lead and develop an outstanding careers education programme across our secondary academies in the West Hub (Wakefield). This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of careers provision and ensure all young people are equipped with the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to succeed.
The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the delivery of the Trust’s careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) programme across the secondary academies in the West Hub. You will ensure that provision meets all statutory requirements while driving continuous improvement towards achieving all eight Gatsby Benchmarks. You will play a key role in evaluating the effectiveness of careers programmes, using benchmarking tools and data to identify priorities, and reporting progress to senior leaders, governors and external stakeholders including Ofsted.
In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the planning and coordination of a high-quality careers programme across the academic year. This will include leading work experience provision, developing engaging and progressive careers resources, and embedding careers learning across the curriculum in collaboration with subject leaders and PSHE teams.
A central aspect of the role will involve building and sustaining strong partnerships with employers, further and higher education providers, training organisations and external agencies. You will represent the Trust within professional networks and create meaningful opportunities for students to engage with the world of work. You will also work closely with parents and carers to support students in making informed decisions about their future pathways, ensuring a collaborative and supportive approach to careers guidance.
