We are currently seeking an experienced Care Taker/Groundsperson to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining the school’s facilities and grounds to ensure they remain clean, secure, and in good repair. Position: Care Taker/Groundsperson Location: United Kingdom Minimum Experience: 2 years Key Responsibilities: - Maintain the cleanliness and safety of school buildings and grounds - Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, plumbing, or electrical work - Monitor security systems including locking/unlocking premises outside school hours - Manage waste disposal and recycling procedures - Support event setup within the school premises when required - Report any major maintenance issues promptly to management Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a caretaker or groundsperson role - Basic knowledge of building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry or electrical skills preferred - Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively - Good organisational skills with attention to detail - Physically fit with ability to perform manual tasks outdoors regardless of weather conditions - Reliable with strong time management abilities Values and Attitudes: - Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for children and staff - Proactive approach towards problem-solving - Positive attitude towards teamwork while able to work independently when needed - Respectful communication style with colleagues across all levels - Discretion regarding confidential information related to the school community If you have the relevant experience along with dedication towards supporting an excellent learning environment through your caretaking skills we would love to hear from you.
