About this role
Garden International School is seeking an energetic, experienced, and adaptable Humanities/Business Studies teacher to join our dynamic Humanities Faculty. We welcome applicants who can join us in August 2026.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Humanities and Business Studies.
Inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness in students.
Collaborate with a supportive and innovative faculty team.
We welcome applicants who are passionate about international education and committed to student success. At Garden, we educate the whole child, offering a wide range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities to help every student grow academically, socially, and personally. As we say to our parents: “It is your choice for their future – and our family.”
The ability to teach across the Secondary phase is essential, and experience with IGCSE and IB programmes is highly desirable. The ability to teach an additional Humanities Subject, such as History, Geography, or Psychology, would be advantageous. Familiarity with Theory of Knowledge (ToK) and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) is a strong advantage, as these programmes are central to our school. Staff with experience teaching ToK or leading CAS activities are particularly welcome.
We are a CIS and IB-accredited school with over 500 students from more than 40 nationalities, offering the English National Curriculum, IGCSEs, and the IB Diploma. Our students are motivated, class sizes are small, and results are excellent. In the academic year 2024–2025, in IGCSE, 91% of grades were A*–C, and 50% were A*–A. In the IB Diploma, the average point score was 32.9, which is above the world average.
We have a vibrant extra-curricular programme across the school. Candidates able to coach sports, especially football, swimming, volleyball and basketball, or who would be keen to lead our MUN programme, would be particularly welcome.
Our school is fully accredited by the Cou
