Role Overview
A school based in Burnt Oak, Edgware is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Bookkeeping Teacher on a permanent basis starting in September 2026.
This role involves delivering foundational bookkeeping skills to a small, highly motivated group of students working towards their AAT Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. Key Responsibilities
● Curriculum Delivery: Prepare and deliver high-quality, engaging bookkeeping lessons mapped to the AAT Level 1 and Level 2 frameworks.
● Material Preparation: Create and adapt structured learning resources, practical exercises, and mock tasks tailored to a small group setting.
● Skill Development: Support students in mastering practical, real-world bookkeeping skills, including double-entry processing, ledger control, and basic accounting software concepts.
● Learning Environment: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom atmosphere that fosters student confidence and motivation.
● Feedback & Progress: Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them prepare effectively for their assessments.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
● Essential: Strong, robust knowledge of modern bookkeeping and finance principles.
● Essential: Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or professional training. However, confident individuals with industry experience and a natural capability to support learners are strongly encouraged to apply .
