About the Role Sharjah American International School (UAQ Campus) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and dynamic Assistant to the Principal. In this key administrative role, you will serve as the primary executive support to the School Principal, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, high-level administrative efficiency, and seamless communication across school leadership, staff, parents, and local educational authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Administrative Support: Manage the Principal’s calendar, organize high-level meetings, draft official correspondence, and handle confidential school matters with absolute discretion.
Operational Coordination: Act as the main liaison between the Principal’s office, department heads, administrative staff, and external stakeholders (including MOE/SPEA authorities).
Communication & Liaison: Draft internal bulletins, newsletters, and official announcements; handle escalated inquiries from parents and visitors professionally.
Event & Project Management: Assist in organizing school-wide events, leadership meetings, staff orientations, and inspection visits.
Data & Records Management: Maintain precise school records, prepare reports, and track action items arising from executive leadership meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of executive secretarial or administrative support experience, ideally within a K–12 school environment in the UAE.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is required.
Technical Skills: Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and school management software (SIS).
Key Competencies: Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to multitask calmly under tight deadlines.
