Assistant Satellite Leader – Post 16

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, resilient and inspirational Assistant Satellite Leader to support the leadership of our Post 16 provision at Kingsmead School. This is a key leadership role, providing an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and aspirational colleague to contribute to both strategic and operational leadership, working closely with the Headteacher and Trust leaders. The role carries a significant focus on safeguarding (DSL), behaviour, inclusion and SEND, alongside responsibility for supporting the development of a high quality Post 16 curriculum. The successful candidate will deputise for the Satellite Leader and Headteacher as required, providing consistent, visible leadership and ensuring high standards of safeguarding, behaviour and provision are maintained at all times. This post would suit an experienced middle or senior leader, or a colleague ready to take their first step into senior leadership, who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people with SEMH and complex inclusion needs. Experience of working with pupils with SEND and vulnerable learners is essential. About the Role As Assistant Satellite Leader, you will play a central role in shaping a provision that is inclusive, ambitious and safe. You will: · Promote a culture of high expectations and strong outcomes, ensuring all learners, particularly those with SEMH and SEND, receive equitable opportunities and a high-quality Post 16 experience. · Lead and model exceptional practice in behaviour and inclusion, creating a calm, structured and relational environment where pupils are supported to regulate, engage and succeed. · Take a lead role in safeguarding as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring robust systems, strong staff practice and effective multi-agency working. · Work collaboratively with school and Trust leaders, contributing to a culture where professional dialogue is strong, accountability is clear and leaders are confident to make decisions in the best
