As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion, we are seeking an Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion, SEND & Alternative Provision to join our leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and those requiring alternative provision at Key Stage 3 & 4. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping inclusive practices across the school and ensuring that all learners have access to high-quality education tailored to their individual needs.

Curriculum Focus: Key Stage 3 & 4
Skills and Qualifications:
- Good quality Honours degree in a related subject
- PGCE or equivalent in secondary or primary education
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Ability to deliver elements of key curriculum areas
- Successful experience teaching the relevant subject at Key Stage 3 & 4
- Leadership and management experience
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, external agencies, and students.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to promoting positive behaviour management strategies.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn about alternative provision pathways suitable for Key Stage 4 learners.
