Job Title: Assistant Headteacher- Behaviour & Attitudes
Location: Longdon Hall School, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS15 4PT
Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | Tuesday- Thursday: 8:30am - 4pm, Monday: 8.30am - 4.30pm for CPD. Friday 8.30am- 3.45pm.
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour & Attitudes to join our Senior Leadership Team and drive whole‑school excellence across behaviour, pastoral care and personal development. This is a pivotal role for a dynamic, emotionally intelligent leader who can combine strategic thinking with a highly visible, hands‑on presence.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
Drive whole‑school behaviour, attitudes and pastoral strategies alongside the Headteacher and SLT.
Lead consistent, relational and trauma‑informed behaviour and pastoral systems across both sites.
Maintain a visible leadership presence, modelling exemplary behaviour practice and contributing to whole‑school improvement.
Behaviour, Attitudes & Pastoral Excellence
Oversee behaviour standards, emotional regulation and wellbeing, ensuring pupils are safe, supported and ready to learn.
Use data to monitor behaviour, attitudes and personal development, shaping interventions and reintegration plans.
Lead targeted pastoral and therapeutic support to improve engagement, attendance and readiness to learn.
