ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER FOR INCLUSION

Leadership Scale L3-L7 (£54,394 – £60,145)
Breadsall Hill Top Primary School and Nursery is seeking to appoint a highly committed and inspirational Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion to join our vibrant and nurturing school community. We are looking for an individual with a strong commitment to SEND and inclusive education, who is dedicated to ensuring that every child feels valued, supported, and able to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be an ambitious and compassionate teacher or leader, with a clear vision for inclusion and a determination to remove barriers to learning. They will work collaboratively with staff, families, and external partners to ensure all pupils receive the support they require to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We welcome applications from candidates who:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching pupils with SEND
Hold, or are willing to work towards, the National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination (NASENCo) or the National Professional Qualification for SENCOs (NPQ SENCo) within 18 months of appointment
Demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners
Possess a secure understanding of SEND legislation, including EHCP processes, Annual Reviews, and provision mapping
Have experience of leading, managing, and developing support staff effectively
Have a proven ability to work collaboratively with parents, local authorities, and external agencies
Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Are committed to championing inclusion for all pupils
