Assistant Head Academic: With responsibility for Academic Strategy and Standards Required for January 2027 Gayhurst School wishes to appoint an outstanding individual to the position of Assistant Head Academic. This is a significant senior leadership opportunity for an experienced academic leader to play a central role in shaping the next stage of the school’s academic development. Gayhurst School is a co-educational, independent day school in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire with around 340 pupils aged 3 to 11. The role will suit someone who is already operating successfully in academic leadership, such as an Assistant Head Academic, Director of Studies, Head of Teaching and Learning, senior curriculum leader or equivalent. Reporting directly to the Head, the Assistant Head Academic will lead and drive the school’s academic strategy, with responsibility for curriculum development, teaching and learning, assessment practice, pupil progress and academic standards across the school.
