The Ruth Gorse Academy is seeking to recruit an inspiring and ambitious colleague to the role of Assistant Curriculum Leader of Science. This is a key position within our science department, offering the opportunity to contribute to strategic leadership and the continued development of high-quality teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, committed to delivering outstanding lessons and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. You will play a significant role in driving curriculum development, raising standards, and supporting colleagues to ensure consistently strong outcomes for all learners.

Potential applicants should:
· Have a strong track record of successful teaching, with excellent outcomes at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4
· Be able to demonstrate a secure understanding of current educational developments and effective strategies to raise achievement, including the use of Pupil Premium
· Have the ability to contribute to and implement a clear vision for the department
· Be able to inspire, motivate and support both students and colleagues
· Have experience (or the potential) to contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement.
