Assistant Catering Manager

Owing to the retirement of the current post holder, Governors are seeking to appoint an Assistant Catering Manager to join our busy catering team. Since the school catering function was taken in-house in April 2023, the quality of meals and popularity with students has increased year on year and we are now serving around 1000 hot meals per day across two lunch sittings. ‘Student Voice’ sessions with the Catering Manager have helped to create a menu that appeals to young people whilst maintaining the nutritional standards and quality you would expect from our Healthy Schools status. This is a full-time (37 hours per week), permanent position, working during term time plus two weeks in school holidays, to commence October 2026, subject to clearances. Actual working hours will be discussed at interview but we anticipate that these will be 6:30am until 2:30pm generally, with some flexibility to meet the needs of the service, and will incorporate a 36-minute, daily, unpaid lunch break.
