Job Title: Art & Design Technician Department: Art Location: Habs Boys Reports To: Head of Art & Design Hours: This is a term time plus one week post, working 36 weeks of the year. Monday to Friday - hours of work can be full time 0830-1700 or 0900-1500. Some evening and weekend work may be required in the build up to major exhibitions. At particularly busy times of the year (Open Day in October, Moderation in June and exhibitions in October/November and June/July) it is expected that the Art technician will be able to work extra hours. As our Art & Design Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our vibrant and creative Art Department. You'll ensure our studios, workshops and specialist spaces are safe, organised and fully equipped, enabling staff and pupils to focus on creativity and learning. Working closely with the Head of Art & Design and teaching staff, you'll prepare materials for lessons, maintain specialist equipment, organise displays and exhibitions, and support a wide range of departmental activities, from workshops and educational visits to examinations and exhibitions.
