Art Technician Contract Type: Term Time Only, Full-Time Salary: £21,995 (£27,896 FTE) Closing Date: Monday 22nd June 2026 @ noon Are you passionate about art and education? As an Art Technician at St Faith’s School, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our vibrant Art Department. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who thrives in a creative environment and is eager to help inspire the next generation of artists. Your organisational skills and technical expertise will ensure that our art lessons are well-resourced, safe, and engaging for all pupils. What you'll be doing: Providing practical and technical support for art lessons, ensuring materials and equipment are ready and safe for use. Preparing, setting up, and clearing away art materials, tools, and equipment. Maintaining an organised and efficient working environment, including managing stock levels and placing orders. Supporting pupils in the safe use of tools and materials and assisting with projects across various art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Assisting with the operation of the kiln and managing firing schedules, if trained. Supporting the display and presentation of pupils' work for exhibitions and school events. Contributing to sustainability initiatives through recycling and material reuse. What we're looking for: Essential: Practical skills and confidence with tools and materials, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Essential: Enthusiasm for working in a creative educational environment and good communication skills. Desirable: Experience in an art, design, or workshop environment, and knowledge of a range of art materials and techniques. Desirable: Experience in a school setting and an interest in supporting creative learning in young people.
