Bring creativity, technical skill and practical know-how to a vibrant Art and Creative Technologies department at one of the UK’s leading girls’ boarding schools.
Benenden School is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Art & Creative Technologies Technician to support the delivery of an ambitious creative curriculum. Working closely with the Head of Department, specialist teachers and the Artist-in-Residence, you will help prepare materials, maintain equipment and ensure students have access to a safe, inspiring and well-resourced learning environment.
The role will involve supporting a wide range of creative processes across 2D, 3D and digital practice, including photography, Adobe Creative Suite, laser cutting, 3D printing and ceramics. You will also play an important part in the smooth running of the department, from stock control and workshop organisation to health and safety, exhibitions, events, educational visits and co-curricular activities.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for art, design and creative technologies, together with practical experience of working with relevant materials, processes and equipment. You will be proactive, approachable and highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team. A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience, would be welcomed.
