The Sheikh Zayed Academy for Boys is seeking to appoint an Arabic Speaking Music Teacher (with Art) for the 2026–27 academic year. This is a specialist elementary role for a practitioner who is passionate about music, art, and cultural expression, and who is excited to work collaboratively with our STEAM Specialist Teacher to design engaging, inspirational units of study that reflect our students’ interests, heritage, and cultural context.
This role is ideal for an educator who values creativity, innovation, and cultural authenticity, and who is keen to contribute to a rich, interdisciplinary curriculum within an international school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Music and Art lessons for Elementary students
Teach in Arabic, embedding cultural understanding and artistic expression
Design practical, performance-based, and creative learning experiences
Work collaboratively with Homeroom teachers to support cross-curricular learning
Contribute to performances, exhibitions, and wider school cultural events
Position Requirements (Essential)
Recognized Bachelor’s degree in Music, Art, Education, or a closely related field
AND a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)
Demonstrable qualifications and/or professional experience in BOTH Music AND Art
Arabic fluency (spoken and written)
A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Early Childhood or Elementary education
Eligibility for ADEK teacher licensing in both subject areas
A clean enhanced DBS check or equivalent police clearance
