The Role.
Working within the College's Apprenticeship department, the Apprenticeship Trainer-Electrical is responsible for teaching, training and assessing a caseload of apprentices within the Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship standard.
The Apprenticeship Trainer will ensure that all apprentices make strong, timely progress through their programme by delivering high-quality teaching and learning, completing regular progress reviews with apprentices and their employers, and monitoring Off-The-Job (OTJ) training hours to ensure full compliance with apprenticeship funding rules.
Key responsibilities.
Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment for apprenticeship standards, ensuring all sessions meet college standards and awarding body/Awarding Organisation (AO) requirements.
Deliver training using a range of engaging and effective methods, adapting approaches to meet the individual needs, prior learning and experience of each apprentice.
Use progress reviews to monitor and evidence each apprentice's development against the KSBs of their standard, identifying any gaps and agreeing actions to address them.
Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience.
A recognised Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (or higher).
Industry experience within the electrical sector, with current knowledge of industry
