About this role
We are looking for an Alternative Provision Support Worker to join us on 1 September 2026 on a permanent basis.
In this role you will provide a consistent, calming, and structured presence within the Alternative Provision (AP) classroom to maintain a safe and secure learning environment. You will work under the guidance of the Alternative Provision Manager, managing daily classroom logistics, providing immediate pastoral support, and coordinating with Teaching Assistants to ensure students successfully engage with their daily plans, attend scheduled lessons, and participate in targeted interventions.
HOURS: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 3.30pm) term-time only, plus 5 training days pro rata.
SALARY: £28142.00 - £30024.00 gross pa (£14.59 - £15.56 per hour) pay review pending, pro rata for term-time. Starting salary equates to £22820.90 gross pa.
