About this role
The Admissions Officer is responsible for leading the day-to-day administration of admissions at Ealing Alternative Provision. The postholder will coordinate the admissions process across all areas of the provision, including pupils referred through the Fair Access Panel, permanently excluded pupils, children in the care of the Local Authority, pupils accessing education under Section 19, those receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS), and pupils referred by local secondary schools to access bespoke intervention through the EAP EXTEND programme. They will ensure all referrals are processed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with Local Authority guidance, statutory requirements and school procedures, enabling pupils to access appropriate educational provision without delay.
Working collaboratively with parents/carers, referring schools, the Local Authority, external agencies and internal colleagues, the postholder will ensure all admissions are managed to the highest standard, supporting effective transition planning, informed decision-making and the timely delivery of education, safeguarding and pastoral support. The role also has responsibility for coordinating the administration of pupil medical information, ensuring medical records, healthcare plans and medication information are accurately collected, maintained and communicated to relevant staff in line with statutory requirements and school procedures.
