About this role
St Edward’s is seeking a highly organised, experienced and personable Admissions Officer to play a pivotal role in welcoming families to the School and supporting pupils through every stage of their journey to enrolment.
This is a busy, varied and people-facing role, central to how the School presents itself to prospective families. Working as part of a close-knit team within the Registrar’s Office, you will be involved throughout the year in a wide range of activities that support recruitment, events and data management. No two days are the same.
You will be a key point of contact for prospective parents and pupils, managing enquiries from first contact through to enrolment, ensuring a professional, warm and responsive experience at every stage. Alongside this, you will help plan and deliver events such as Open Days and familiarisation activities that showcase the School and its community.
The role also involves coordinating entrance assessments, preparing offer correspondence, and maintaining accurate records of applications, decisions and waiting lists. You will contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the Registrar’s Office, providing efficient administrative support in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Full training will be provided to maintain admissions data using the iSAMS database.
About You
You will bring proven experience in a senior administrative role, ideally within an independent school environment, and be confident working at pace while managing multiple priorities.
You will:
Have outstanding organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Be an excellent communicator with a professional, friendly and confident manner
Write clear, polished correspondence and handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries with calm professionalism
Be comfortable working with data, databases and reporting
Have strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and Word, including mail merge
Enjoy working with people and representing the School to
