Admissions and Transitions Assistant
37.5 hours per week with a 30 minute lunch break | Core hours are 8am - 4pm however some flexibility is required
12-month Fixed-term Contract
About the role
To support the Admissions and Transition team with administration support, answering phone calls, helping to coordinate events, preparing new pupil packs and responding to emails.
This role is school based, full time, for a fixed term period of 12 months with the potential to become permanent. The post holder should expect to be based in school. Hybrid working may be possible during the school closure periods with the agreement of the Head of Admissions and Interventions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Admissions process:
Provide support to the Head of Admissions and wider Admissions and Transition team in relation to the admissions process. This may include but is not limited to:
Helping to co-ordinate open events, induction mornings, taster days, transition events and assisting at the events as required
Preparing and facilitating baseline assessment and distributing information to relevant staff members
Arranging assessment calls with schools, parents, therapists and other professionals
Monitoring queries from overseas applicants and maintaining notes of any visa requirements
Preparing information packs for new starters and their parents
Ensure the admissions inbox is organised and emails are transferred to the appropriate member of the admissions team.
Be a point of contact for prospective parents in relation to admissions and transition queries.
Coordinate and help to lead school tours for prospective pupils and professionals.
Maintain accurate data collection and monitoring for admissions and transition processes.
Ensure accurate admissions information is collated and kept up to date on the school MIS
Provide general administrative support to the department
Liaise with the local authority within statutory time frames in relation to EHCP consultations
