About this role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and compassionate individual to join our highly regarded Learning Support Department at the Royal Grammar School. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the educational experience and outcomes of students with learning differences within a thriving and supportive school community. You will play a key role in supporting our SEN students from Years 3 to 13, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and the skills they need to thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with students and teachers, you will provide tailored support through one-to-one interventions, small-group teaching, study skills development, and lesson recommendations. Alongside supporting student learning, you will take responsibility for coordinating the documentation required to process exam access arrangements for GCSE and A Level examinations, ensuring compliance with current JCQ regulations. This aspect of the role involves working closely with our Exams Office to ensure that appropriate arrangements are identified, implemented, and administered accurately and consistently in both internal and external examinations. The Learning Support Department is a vibrant, busy, and highly respected team that sits at the heart of the school’s commitment to enabling every student to achieve their full potential. You will join a collaborative team of dedicated professionals and work closely with and report to the Head of Learning Support (SENDCo).
