About this role
To take lead responsibility for providing high-quality administrative support to the academic and operational functions of Burlington House School, ensuring the efficient management of school systems, pupil data, reporting processes, staff cover, admissions administration and wider school operations.
The postholder will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school and will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, admissions, safeguarding and administrative colleagues. This is a varied and responsible role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, discretion, initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment.
The postholder will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, taking initiative to identify priorities, resolve administrative issues, follow up outstanding actions and ensure key school processes are completed efficiently and to deadline, without the need for close supervision.
Where reasonably appropriate, the administrator is expected to undertake tasks and responsibilities beyond their defined job description. Such contributions should support organisational objectives, promote effective collaboration, and enhance overall operational performance within the school environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Management Information Systems (MIS) and School DataTake responsibility for the accurate maintenance and day-to-day administration of the school’s Management Information Systems, including Arbor (OpenApply)
Ensure pupil and staff records are accurate, up to date and maintained in line with school requirements and compliance expectations.
Set up new staff on school systems and provide guidance and support to colleagues in the use of Arbor where required.
Support and coordinate the annual rollover of the school database in liaison with Admissions and relevant colleagues, including:
importing the new timetable
allocating pupils to classes
updating ac
