Mike Kentz is the founder of AI Literacy Partners, a consultancy that helps schools, universities, and organizations adapt to the challenges and opportunities of generative AI. Drawing on his background as an English teacher, writer, and researcher, Mike develops professional development workshops, keynote talks, and consulting engagements focused on AI literacy, assessment redesign, and responsible classroom integration. His work centers on “grading the chats”—an approach to evaluating AI use through transcript analysis—and he has published research exhibits, including The Field Guide to Effective AI Use (WAC Repository, 2025). Mike has delivered PD and training sessions for independent schools, public school districts, universities, and professional associations across the U.S. He is also pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at Wilkes University, where his research explores how AI can be used in the creative process without diminishing human creativity.
