I’m the founder of Sapio, a consultancy that helps schools, trusts and education organisations build intentional, confident AI and digital strategy. I work with leaders who want clarity and ethical guardrails as much as they want innovation, so technology strengthens culture, safety and learning rather than becoming another source of noise. My background is in school leadership, digital learning and online safeguarding, and I’ve spent more than a decade leading 1‑1 device programmes, data ethics work and digital wellbeing initiatives in UK schools. That lived experience underpins everything I do with clients – from whole‑school AI strategy and governance, to coaching senior leaders and digital leads on the conversations they need to have with staff, students and parents. I’m a TechWomen100 Award Winner 2025 and Edufuturist of the Year 2026 finalist, and my work focuses on the responsible, evidence‑informed adoption of AI and digital innovation, not fancy-sounding short‑term fixes. My bestselling book, The Little Guide for Teachers on Generative AI (Sage), is written for busy educators who want practical language, examples and safeguards they can use straight away in their classrooms and leadership roles. Alongside my consultancy work, I serve on advisory boards including Teachmate, the Good Future Foundation and the Independent Schools Council Digital Advisory Group. I’m a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and the RSA, and a member of BESA and UKAI. I also advise international governments, publishers, EdTech companies and school groups on AI policy, strategy and implementation, and regularly work with leadership associations such as the Independent Schools Association, the Society of Heads and the Independent Schools’ Bursars’ Association. Through my partnership with EDT&Partners I provide strategic consultancy worldwide, working with organisations such as ISTE, AWS and the International Schools Partnership. Whether I’m supporting a single digital lead or a multi‑country group, my aim is to give leaders the confidence, vocabulary and practical tools to steward AI and digital change with integrity and care.
